The Ciena Solutions Challenge is a global design challenge that invites educators and students to design solutions addressing the sustainable development goals their communities.

Band of Steel received a 2025 Ciena Solutions Challenge Sustainability Award for our Total Ocean Awareness Program. We were awarded $750 to sustain and develop our project.
